BCB003 - Smart Transit Signals
The variety of issues related to the safety of Jaguars in Argentina demands the constant need for new solutions, Argentina is a mid-size country with all the imaginable landscapes and some of them are well established centers for tourist activities. That is the case of the Iguazú National Park. The route between Puerto Iguazú and the National Park is a frequent scenario for Jaguars being harmed by cars, the result almost always is one more Jaguar dead. BCB003 Smart Transit lights are meant to avoid this situation.
The concept behind device is straightforward, they just light up the moment a Jaguar is detect near the route in order to warn drivers that a Jaguar was effectively detected near the route and that it could cross the road any minute. The big value of these active signs is that drivers tend to get used to static signals and thus they tend to ignore them. As a reinforcement mechanisms this signals also includes cameras to record evidence of drivers passing by when the sign is activated.

The Jaguar detection can be both automatic or manual, Both BCB002S (Smart Cameras) and BCB001 (Panic Buttons) are the devices that feed the system in order to determine if the signal hast to be turned on. This is another mechanism to create more awareness about the Jaguars both for the local inhabitants and the tourists. Jaguars need the help of everyone.
