The language of Cats - The Jaguar Roar

Sounds are important to Big Cat Brother devices, not only those related to Cats but others that allow the system to detect unwanted situations, as you can see in the naked device picture, BCB002S has six microphones. But this is not about the tech, this is about the Cat and the sounds they make.

I heard many of the sounds in person and let me say that some of them will make you feel your bones trembling. All the cats share a lot of similarities in their vocal and non-vocal communication for short and long distance messages. Technically speaking they use the 50 - 10000 Hertz frequency, in terms of loudness the strongest sound is achieved by Lions, they can achieve more than 110 Decibels.

I went to a conservation site to take pictures of a female Jaguar, when we met, she displayed her huge teeth while softly growling, then, she got used to my presence and she made some friendly sounds like what biologists call prusten.

However the most impressive sound I heard and captured is their main call, it is impressive for two reasons, one, it is realy strong and they repeat the sound in a sequence, as far as I know only Jaguars, Leopards and Lions can do that. If you want to hear them roar click on the sample below.

WE MAKE ALL KIND OF SOUNDS, AS ANY OTHER CAT BUT WE

ROAR

AND WE

ROAR IN SEQUENCE!
